In accordance with Section 95A(3) of the EPBC Act, public comment is invited on an action proposed to be taken at Warner, Queensland.

Ausbuild Development Corp Pty Ltd is seeking approval to carry out the Warner South Residential Development (EPBC 2021/9130) on land described as Lot 2 on RP118172, Lot 5-7, 9 & 10 on RP79062 and Lot 2 on SP121774, located at 65-117 Warner Road, Warner, Queensland. The approval process is being undertaken by Wayne Moffitt on behalf of Ausbuild Pty Ltd.

The proposed action involves the establishment of new urban development. This action was determined to be a Controlled Action under the EPBC Act with a Preliminary Documentation level of assessment. The controlling provision is ‘Listed threatened species and ecological communities’ (Sections 18 and 18A), specifically the vulnerable Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus (combined populations of QLD, NSW and the ACT)) and the vulnerable Grey-headed Flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus).

Please note that although Koala was assessed under the vulnerable listing status, as this was its status at the time of Controlled Action decision, as of 12 February 2022 it is now endangered.

Viewing the Preliminary Documentation Report

Hard copies of the Preliminary Documentation Report (including all attachments) will be available to view for a period of 10 business days from Monday 25 September 2023 to Monday 9 October 2023 at each of the following locations:
