With unseasonably wet weather since June, our road and development construction activities have experienced some delays. Further information is provided in this bulletin, and we welcome your enquiries and feedback.
New Traffic Lights complete
New traffic lights have now been installed at the intersection of South Pine Road and Coorparoo Road at
Brendale, and were in operation in early November. This $2 million project is an important part of Ausbuild’s ongoing commitment to deliver community infrastructure to benefit Warner and neighbouring suburbs.
Warner Road Upgrade
The first stage of the $2.42 million Warner Road upgrade involves a 480-metre section to improve road quality, flood provision and wildlife amenity. The road section has now been raised by 1.7 metres at the creek crossing with a 4 square metre underpass to allow the safe travel of wildlife.
This stage was delayed due to wet weather and our contractor currently anticipates completion by the
end of 2022. Upon the completion of this road section, the temporary access road will be removed and entry into Stage 1 of The Sanctuary development will be available.
The second and final stage of the road upgrade will continue to an existing property at 94 Warner Road. Subject to weather conditions, this upgrade work is expected to run for approximately 15 weeks into
Site Works – Stages 1 & 2
Ausbuild’s contractor Shadforth’s are continuing civil works for the development. Stages 1 and 2 are nearly complete with internal roads asphalted, and streetlights and street signs installed.
Revegetation of the riparian reserve corridors is expected to be completed in December. This is an important component of the rehabilitation program over a 12-hectare area of the development.
The community park is under way with playground and exercise equipment installed and construction of custom koala fencing has commenced.
Site Works – Stages 3 & 4
Bulk earthworks are well advanced with services expected to be constructed over the coming months. In line with Shadforth’s contractor update distributed in October, the civil works, including installation of a Trunk Water Main, has commenced and expected to be completed in late 2023. Civil works are undertaken between the approved hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Saturday, and subject to weather conditions. Please observe all road signage and changes during this construction period.
