While it certainly hasn’t been ‘business as usual’ for many Queenslanders, fortunately, we have been able to safely continue civil construction at The Sanctuary and continue community infrastructure upgrades.

We thank you, as always, for your ongoing patience as we continue to undertake this work in your community.

Warner Road Upgrade

While we have been able to continue civil construction works along Warner Road, heavy rainfall and flash flooding over recent weeks caused a slight delay to our program.

Asphalt is expected to be installed along the 300-metre temporary traffic diversion adjacent to Warner Road (between approximately 94 Warner Road and 48 Warner Road) next week. Following this, Warner Road will be temporarily closed. While this diversion is open, speed limits along this section of Warner Road will be reduced to 40km/hour.

The $2.42 million Warner Road Upgrade will see Warner Road lifted by 1.7 metres at the creek crossing to sit above the 1 in 100-year flood event. A fauna underpass will also be created to allows the safe passage of wildlife.

The upgrade is expected to take 27 weeks to complete.

Coorparoo Road and South Pine Road Intersection Upgrade

As part of Ausbuild’s ongoing commitment to deliver community infrastructure that benefits the Warner and adjacent communities, we have recently commenced construction of a new signalised intersection at Coorparoo Road and South Pine Road, Brendale. This essential $2.044 million project will improve road safety.

Weather permitting, works are expected to take up to 12 weeks with civil construction only occurring after hours (Sunday to Thursday) on South Pine Road, and during both daylight hours (6:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Saturday) and after hours on Coorparoo Street. All direction access through this intersection will be provided to all road users 24 hours a day, seven days a week, however some minor delays may be possible.
