Thank you for your ongoing patience as we undertake early operational works at The Sanctuary, Warner to prepare the site for home construction, and create new community infrastructure. Despite recent wet weather, civil construction works is well advanced and progressing to schedule.

Warner Road Upgrade

Over the coming weeks (weather permitting), civil works including service installation and roadworks will commence on the $2.42 million upgrade of Warner Road.

To undertake this work, a 300-metre temporary traffic diversion will be in place directly adjacent to Warner Road (between approximately 94 Warner Road and 48 Warner Road) for a period of up to 27 weeks.

All appropriate traffic signalling and signage will be in place, with speed limits reduced to 40km per hour for the duration of the works. Temporary guideposts will be in place to safely direct traffic through the diversion and there will be no impact to driveway access. Our contractor, Shadforth, will liaise with residents and maintain access at all times throughout these works.

New signalised intersection at Coorparoo Road and South Pine Road

We are pleased to advise that Ausbuild will be delivering a $2.044 million new signalised intersection at Coorparoo Road and South Pine Road to improve road safety. Works will commence in January and are expected to be completed by mid-2022.

Rehabilitation works set to commence

Ausbuild has appointed local landscaping contractor Jungle Busters to undertake rehabilitation works of the riparian zone, which will involve constructing the new frog ponds, removing weed species and, over time, planting thousands of additional native trees and plants in the conservation area. The rehabilitation work is a progressive program timed closely behind civil construction works and is expected to take up to two months to complete.

Connecting the sewer main

Construction on the trunk sewage connection has commenced, which will connect future residents at The Sanctuary and surrounding properties to the Unity Water sewer network.

This work has commenced within the future riparian zone and will progress towards Warner Road, at which time construction will shift to the eastern side of Old North Road. There will be no road closures in relation to these works, however the footpath at the end of Doherty Street and a verge on Old North Road will be temporarily closed. As always, appropriate dust and noise mitigation measures will be in place to reduce any construction impacts.
