Ausbuild and Dolphins NRL Honour Veterans Ahead of ANZAC Day
10 April 2025, Brisbane – As ANZAC Day approaches, Queensland-based developer Ausbuild is proud to honour Australia’s veterans in partnership with the Dolphins NRL, announcing a special community tribute with This Story Australia at the Dolphins v Storm clash at Suncorp Stadium on Friday, 18 April.
Selected as Ausbuild’s official Community Partner for the match, This Story Australia is a not-for-profit that captures and preserves the stories of Australian servicemen and women - from WWI to those currently serving. With the Dolphins playing an away game over the ANZAC Day weekend, this home match provides a meaningful opportunity to reflect, honour and thank our veteran community.
Veterans from multiple organisations will attend the game, with several taking part in the Guard of Honour, standing proudly on the field to welcome players in front of a packed stadium. Guests will include Daniel Keighran VC and Young Australian of the Year Nominee Dylan Conway along with representatives from The 42 for 42, Wandering Warriors, Brothers N Books, RedSix, PTSD Resurrected, Commando Welfare Trust and Disaster Relief Australia.
“This is about giving our veterans visibility, respect and the recognition they so richly deserve,” said Matthew Bell, Joint Managing Director at Ausbuild.
“To stand on the field in front of thousands of people is not just an honour — it’s a powerful way to acknowledge their service and sacrifice.”
Ausbuild is proud to announce a two-year extension of its partnership with the Dolphins NRL, continuing through to the end of the 2027 season.
“This renewed commitment means we can continue elevating community heroes like our veterans,” said Mr Bell.
“Over the past three seasons, this partnership has delivered more than $200,000 in value and support to our local community, including frontline workers, youth sporting clubs, schools, unpaid family carers, disability services and veterans. We look forward to building on this legacy over the next three years.”
Terry Reader, CEO of the Dolphins NRL, said the extension reflects a shared vision for long-term community impact.
Ausbuild has shown what real community leadership looks like, their commitment to supporting local heroes, from sporting clubs to schools, carers and veterans, has made a meaningful difference,” said Mr Reader.
“We’re excited to extend our partnership and continue delivering impact on and off the field.”
