Willow Vale Community Update - Community Update Sessions.

Dear Willow Vale residents,

Thank you to everyone who attended the recent Community Update Sessions at the Upper Coomera Centre.

These sessions provided an opportunity to share the outcomes of the investigations undertaken to date and explain how technical assessments, ongoing discussions with Council, and community feedback have informed the planning work for Willow Vale.

As presented during the sessions, a copy of the Community Update Presentation is attached here for those who were unable to attend, or for anyone wishing to revisit the information that was shared during the sessions.

As outlined during the sessions, the project team is now progressing towards lodgement of the development application with the City of Gold Coast in the coming weeks. Following lodgement, the application will enter Council's assessment process, including a formal public notification period where community members will have the opportunity to review the application and make submissions directly to Council.

The community engagement activities undertaken throughout the Willow Vale investigation process will be documented in an Engagement Summary Report, which will accompany the development application submitted to the City of Gold Coast. The report will provide an overview of the engagement program undertaken to date, including focus group workshops, community update sessions, pop-up engagement activities and other community participation. It will also summarise the key themes, questions and feedback raised by community members throughout the process and outline how this feedback has informed the Community Development Principles and broader planning investigations.
