Ausbuild Insight - Edition 13
Generational Change

The corporate transition of Ausbuild into the ownership of two of its founding partners, is now complete.

Against a background of sustained growth, Ausbuild directors, Ron Loney and Graham Bell now have acquired the balance of shares held by the third partner in the firm which they collectively established 20 years ago.

In 1988, Mr Loney and Mr Bell who both were Ray White real estate franchisees, identified the potential to launch a home building firm under the Ray White brand.

With the support of Ray White Chairman Mr Brian White, they established Ray White Homes.

In 2002 the company was re-branded Ausbuild to better reflect its expansion into an all services property entity with a particular focus on property development and residential construction.

"The respective businesses have diversified and grown exponentially during the last 20 years," said Ausbuild Joint Chairman, Mr Ron Loney.

"De-coupling ownership at this stage will enable the directors to focus more intently on the future growth of their respective business streams.

There also are second generation members of the White, Bell and Loney families who have made major contributions to that growth and who now hold executive positions within the companies.

Restructuring Ausbuild's ownership at this stage will provide for a smoother generational change in future years and provide the right environment for the success enjoyed to date, to continue," he said.

The strong corporate relationship between the families will continue through another vehicle - Ray White Constructions where the Loney, Bell and White families are shareholders along with Brad Wootten and Murray Creevey.
